Arm wrestling champion!

So recently my boss and i are creating a bond. Well first i challenged him to an arm wrestle and i beat him. So the next week he was complaining how sore he was from that. I told him, "wow it's too bad you cant take down a 120 pound girl!" I kind of felt that got rid of all my negative feelings i was having toward him. Who knew all it took was a little wrestlin to get out my negative emotions!

Kids or a Dog?

I think i am annoying! i think i talk too much. I want children! I have seen so many kids lately and i was with some kids on friday and i think i want some youngins! I just want to read to them and teach them things. I am sure this feeling is only temporary.Maybe i just need to get a dog.

Guitar lesson No.1

Last week i had my first guitar lesson. I really enjoyed it. The guy's name is Jason and i think he will be a good teacher. He said i have a good feel for the guitar. I think he was just being nice. So the first song i have to learn is Hey Joe by Jimmy Hendrix.It really isnt that hard it's only 5 chords. I think i am going to enjoy this. I hope by summer i will have learned a lot. He's really patient which is good and he's really nice. So we'll see.

Tracy Bonham is a musical genius!

So last night went to see Tracy Bonham perform at the BAM cafe. It was a great show. She plays the guitar, the violin, and the piano. I like the way she writes. So the last song she did she had all these little kids come up on stage and most of them played the violin, one kid played guitar, one kid played the keyboard, and two little girls sang.It was the cutest thing! I just love live music! It was free also which was great. I am thinking of going back next weekend to catch another performer.Tonight i am going to a dinner party that this girl Holly is having.I met her once at a party and it turns out she is from Mississippi also and her brother came into town last night so she is having a party at her house for him. So i think it will be fun.I don't think i know anyone that is coming which i am kind of happy about. So hopefully i will have a lot to blog about afterward.

Guitar Hero!

So i have noticed recently that i don't mind spending money as much as i use to.The other day we were out in service and i said i want a guitar TODAY! So after service i went and bought a guitar!. So there's this guy who use to teach Chermelle who is really good. He is 27 years old.He's been playing since he was 7. He played with Ben Kweller for 3 yrs. He's played with Tracy Bonham and he played on letterman,craig kilborn, and carson daly's show. Chermelle loved him she said he asks you what kind of music you like and then he teaches you songs that you want to learn but he also teaches you theory and fundamentals which i want to know also. So we've been emailing back and forth to set up a time and day. I am excited. So the goal is by this summer Christina, Whitney, Chermelle and i will all be able to play.

Goodbye hair!

So i got really sick of my hair and decided to get a major haircut. So i went to this guy who cuts Estelle's hair and Kelis' hair. So i told him i want something edgy. So he cut it and then they washed it and he has this whole product line for people with kinky curly or wavy hair.So they use the kinky creme on me then i sit under the dryer for what felt like forever. THen i came out and i saw my hair and i just thought,"This is not going to work!" It was longer in the front and shorter everywhere else which wasnt really bad but i just thought i looked like a cockatoo. So i asked him to make it all even. So he had to blow it out with a blowdryer then cut it and then he wet it put the curly cream in it and then i went under the dryer again. When i came out this time i thought it was a lot better. So he told me basically that i have to start taking care of my hair.So now i dont twist it anymore i just wet it in the shower put some cream in it, blowdry it for like 5 minutes and that's it. It's so much easier. I cant wait till it grows out and becomes a big afro.

Come on, Summer!

I can not wait until spring! I am sick of this cold weather. I am ready for shorts and flip flops and summer concerts and flea markets! So this spring i am determined to start running again. I thought about joining Christina's gym. It's nice but during the spring and summer i would rather be outside. So this summer i just want to do a lot of different things. I want to just really explore this city!

Clothes Swap!

So Saturday i went to a clothes swap party that was a lot of fun. It was about 15-20 girls. So everyone just bought the clothes they didn't want anymore and everything was all laid out and organized. It was nice they had jewelry, purses, coats, and a lot of other stuff. I ended up with a dress a jacket a couple skirts and a make-up bag. It was a lot of fun. I didn't know most of the people there, which was nice because i got to meet some new girls.
